When Newport Paper decided to upgrade their Waste Recycling Depot at their Hockwold site, their Managing Director Matthew Hoare contacted David Nichols to come up with a facility to handle 160 tons per 16 hour day, (40,000 tons per year). David Nicholls offered the tried and tested Jovisa range of equipment.
The bags of houshold refuse are tipped onto a conveyor belt using a bucket loader. The conveyor feeds the bags into an auotomatic bag opener. An inclined conveyor belt then rasies the complete mixed waste to the first sorting line.
After the initial manual sorting the resdue is fed into a large Trommel Screen.
Here primary and secondary separation takes place. The product then leaves the Trommel and a further two manual lines carry out more separation. An overband magnet takes out the tin cans. |
